# Can you remove a Google review?

Google does not delete a review because it is negative. It removes reviews that break Google’s rules, or that a court or an eligible privacy process requires to come down. Lawful criticism stays. The remaining options are a public reply, a real follow-up with the customer, or earning newer reviews that outrank it.

## What Google actually removes

Typical grounds: fake or paid reviews, spam, off-topic content, conflicts of interest, impersonation, hate or harassment, and private information. A one-star review that describes a real visit in rude language is usually allowed.

## What we check first

The listing URL, the reviewer account, overlap with other reviews, photos, timestamps, and whether the text is about the business at all. Then we say yes, no, or only with a legal track — before anyone pays for a full campaign.

## Timeframe

Policy reports can move in days. Legal or privacy tracks take longer. There is no honest 48-hour guarantee for every 1-star review.
