Anonymised B2B case. The thread stayed live. Search results did not. Timeline, what worked, what we refused.
Anonymised B2B software company, EU. A 14-month-old Reddit thread ranked in position 2–4 for the company name. Sales calls started with the link. The poster was not the company. The thread was harsh and partly inaccurate, but not a clear Reddit policy violation.
What we did not promise
We did not promise deletion. Reddit had no obvious policy hook. A public fight would have made the thread more visible.
What we did
Written feasibility first. Then a suppression plan the client approved: owned pages, one interview they already had, and profiles they control. No fake press. No astroturfing the thread.
Timeline
Week 1: inventory of URLs, snippets, and assets. Week 2–3: pages live. Week 4–6: the Reddit URL dropped off page one for the company-name query in the markets we tracked. The thread itself stayed on Reddit.
What this is not
Not a 5.0 Trustpilot score. Not a guarantee the URL never returns. Rankings move. The client still monitors the query.
Operator: Auerswald Marketing S.L. Details omitted so the company cannot be reverse-searched from this page.
